One of the most important lessons that all of us Christians need to learn is the importance of confessing what God says. Once born again, we live in a different Kingdom than the world’s kingdom and we must speak the things of God. Proverbs 6:2 says “you are snared by the words of your mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth”
We really need to make an effort not to speak as people in the world speak. Words are the most powerful thing in the universe. If we speak words of faith they will put you over, but if we speak words of fear they will defeat you.
Jesus said in Mark 9:23 “if you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes”. This is not theory. It is a fact. Actually it’s a spiritual law. God himself never does anything without saying it first. God released his faith in words.
We are to be imitators of God as children imitate their parents.--Ephesians 5:1. To imitate God you must talk like Him and act like Him. Just look at the principles That Jesus operated by while here on earth. He spoke to the wind, He spoke to the sea, He spoke to the fig tree, He spoke to demons and He even spoke to dead men. And all were obedient to what He said.
Jesus was imitating His Father, and got the same results as His Father. The same as we should imitate the Father by speaking the promises of God. In John 14:12, Jesus said “he who believes in me the works (miracles) that I do, will he do also and greater works will he do”.
The principles of Faith are based on spiritual laws. They work for whoever will apply these laws. You send them in motion by the words of your mouth. Stop a minute and ask yourself… Do I really want all the negative things that I come out of my mouth to come to pass? –Because everything that you say will happen exactly as you say it.
Be not conformed, but be transformed by the words of faith that you speak, knowing that God’s words are alive evermore, and they carry an incorruptible seed. Believe, and obtain, that your Joy may be full and you shall be complete in Him.
So why not make a habit of speaking the promises of God in your life; for your family, for your work, and everything that you do and say. Spoken words program your spirit either to success or defeat. Words are containers that carry faith, or fear. –and they produce after their kind, the SAME as seeds.
Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 16:19, “and I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on Earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on Earth will be loosed in heaven”. You bind and you loose by your words. So the question is: what words will you establish on earth? The power of binding and loosing is in your hands.. ACTUALLY in your MOUTH.
Confess victory in the face of apparent defeat. Confess abondance in the face of apparent lack. And SEE the changes taking place around you.
Remember God told us that we can have what we say but instead we say what we have. Let’s change that.
