Prosperity in Times of Recession

Heavenly Father, we don’t go by the conditions and the circumstances of the world, because we live in Your Kingdom–a different Kingdom. While we live in the world, we apply the Kingdom of Heaven’s rules to our lives. We have been delivered from the power and dominion of darkness (Satan) and we have been translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son. (Col 1:13)

We have authority in this world to command Your will on earth as it is in Heaven. Jesus prayed: “I pray not that Thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that Thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” (Jn 17:15). Jesus said, ” I give you power… and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Lk 10:19). “You shall deliver us from every evil work.” (2Tim 4:18).

We are claiming what King David said, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” (Ps1:1-6).

I am prospering in my mind, in my body, in my spirit, and in my finances. I am prospering in my marriage (my relationships, both past and present), and in every area of my life. Whatever I do prospers.

You said that, “The wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous,” (Or 13:22b), and that, “The young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but they that seek the Lord shall never want any good thing.” (Ps 34:10). “The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.” (Pro 22:4).

We know that, “God is able to make all grace abound to us, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, we may abound in every good work.” (2Cor 9:8). There is no recession or inflation or depression in God’s Kingdom. –There is no lack nor famine. And even if there should be famine, “The eyes of the Lord are upon them that fear him to keep them alive in famine.” (Ps 33:18,19). “You know the days of the upright, in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.” (Ps 37:18 19). You said, “The Lord will not suffer or allow the righteous to famish.” (Pro 10:3). “I will increase the corn, and I will not bring famine upon you. I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and of the field.” (Eze 36: 29,30).

You are a loving God, You have first loved us. That’s how we know true love. You’re a Father to us Who looks after our needs, after our care and after our protection. You told us that we are worth more than many sparrows and that we should not worry about our needs. (Mt 10:29-31). “I am born of God and I overcome the world. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even my faith.” (1 Jn 5:4).

Our testimony is to show Your glory. When people look at us, they don’t understand how we can be so blessed. But that’s because of Your glory shining upon us. Your grace has a multiplying factor towards us. We look to You for our every need because You and only You are our source;– not the labor of our hands, not what we think we deserve, not a paycheck, not the arm of the flesh, none of that. –Every good gift comes from above, from You, a Father of love. You are our source. We speak Your blessings upon our life. “We seek first the kingdom of God and Your righteousness, and all these things will be added to us.” (Mat 6:33).

We bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in our house, and thereby we put you to the test, and we see You open the windows of Heaven for us and pour down for us a blessing until there is no more need.” (Mal 3:10).

We receive the full blessing of Abraham without the “if”. Because we’ve already put down our commitment in faith. “If” we believe in Your Son’s sacrifice and redemption, we become part of Abraham’s seed, which is Christ. We are Christ’s (with an apostrophe). And because we become coheirs with Christ, we become Christ, without the apostrophe, a full-on son of God, as He is.

We have been made sons, not servants. Therefore, we live by the faith of Jesus Christ, the faith that He had towards mankind. We have His authority, we have His mind.

We live by the rules that He has laid down for us: the rules of love, sacrifice, communion with You or Father, giving to others, doing unto others as we would have them done unto us. We forgive because you forgive, we love the unlovely, because You Love the unlovely. We walk by faith and not by sight. We don’t rely on the carnal reasoning of the old man, but on the mind of Christ given to us through the new creation. We are not enslaved by political correctness nor big pharma’s fate, for we believe in Your promises of health, prosperity, protection, and redemption.

We are under the shadow of Your wings. Your strength is made perfect in our weakness, in our humility, and in our reverence and fear of You. Your Word is our daily sustenance for we know that, “Man should not live by physical bread alone but by every Word that comes out of Your mouth.” (Mt 4:4). “Blessed is the man that delightest greatly in His commandments. Wealth shall be in his house.” (Ps 112: 1,3). Your Word energizes us. It gives health to our bones. It is the sap flowing in our veins as Jesus explained in John 15.

We live by Your commandments. They are the guidelines to our holiness. We have a clear conscience without condemnation, because our past has been washed away. Our sins and failures which have caused us regret, remorse and anguish have been forgiven and therefore we are free. “Whom the Son hath set free is free indeed.” (Jn 8:36). Because we are hidden in Christ, our old man is crucified with Christ and therefore we no longer have a sin-nature to condemn us.  I have put off the old man and have put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created me. (Col 3:10, 11).

The Word of God is forever settled in Heaven. Therefore, I establish His Word upon this earth. TRUTH changes facts! (Ps 119:89). “For poverty He has given me wealth, for sickness He has given me health, for death He has given me eternal life”. (II Corinthians 8:9; Isaiah 53:5, 6; John 10:10; John 5:24).

We speak the blessings of Abraham upon our life, upon our children, upon our every venture, and upon our destiny. You have blessed us with innumerable blessings. And we speak nothing but what You say about us. “You delight Yourself in the prosperity of Your servant.” (Ps 35:27).

Thank you for giving us life, more abundantly and making us prosper even during the time of inflation, recession, depression, and deprivation. “I will not be afraid of evil tidings (from the media): my heart is fixed and steadfast trusting in You.” (Ps 112:7).

You said that You even watch over sparrows, and that I am of more value than many sparrows. (Mt 10:31). I know that You will keep me as the apple of Your eye and hide me under the shadow of Your wings (Ps17: 8, 9).

How so very BLESSED we are.
