Had He Known This, He Would Not Have Done What He Did (1Cor 2:28)

The apostle Paul said “this is the mystery that was hid from the foundation of the world” (Col 1:26). This mystery is the true gospel, Christ living in you.

It has now been revealed, you don’t have to be a theologian to understand it, you don’t have to know all about justification, regeneration, sanctification, etc., you just need to know one verse: John 3:16 reveals that God so loved the world that He gave His son to pay the ransom, so that if you believe in Him, you will not perish but you will have the everlasting life of God in you and you will be empowered through Jesus to do what Jesus did.

The devil did not get it… He thought that in killing Jesus, he was getting rid of Him, but instead he got trapped in the original plan of God that was hid from the foundation of the world… he thought he was snuffing the fire by stumping on it , but instead, he spread it even more. God actually had a plan from the very beginning to redeem man. Adam did not really surprise God. God had a secret plan, a mystery and He gave that Revelation to Paul, not to the 12. Jesus tried to explain it to the 12 by saying, “you know him for he dwelleth with you and he shall be in you”. He could not be too clear because the devil was listening. He was more or less telling them “right now I am with you, but then I will be in you”. That’s the mystery, that’s the gospel. Christ in you.

That’s what Paul went to Jerusalem to explain to the early apostles, and they couldn’t deny that Paul had heard from Jesus because they too had seen Jesus after His resurrection. They knew He was alive. They had heard Jesus explain the entire old testament, the law and the prophets, on the road to Emmaus. “And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself. ((Lk 24:27).

The devil thought he had stumped out Jesus, and just a few months later there were 120 more Jesus’s, and a few days later 3000 more. The Spirit that was in Christ was now passed on to all believers, and they could do the same miracles that Jesus did and even greater ones.

That’s the revelation of the New Testament. That’s the atomic transformation that took place through the resurrection of Christ. His Spirit was given to all who believe. That’s why He had to go, so that the Spirit could be distributed to all men and live in us and do greater works, through us. When you realize the power of this revelation, it changes everything. The mystery that is made manifest to ALL saints, the riches manifest amongst the gentiles, “Christ and you” (Col 1:7). He said, “for lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the world” (Mat 28:20).

Now He can guide all of us by His Spirit because His spirit is in all of us. We can do everything that Jesus did and more, not only individually, but corporately as a body, we can stump out the works of the devil. Paul said, “To prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work” (Ephesians 4:12-16)

We, as the body of Christ, can declare “cancer free” zones, “sickness and disease free” zones, “meth lab free” zones. We have within us, as the body of Christ, the power to stump out the works of the devil on earth, and establish the Kingdom of Light and impose it against darkness. We have been made ambassadors and governors of the kingdom of God on earth.

If only the church would get together and truly get a hold of that revelation and act upon it, we could get rid of evil. Jesus surely did, when He was here. Devils couldn’t stand Him, and illnesses would go. There is not one recollection of Jesus not healing anyone who asked. And He’s still here, with us, and in us.

What limits God is our unbelief. The only difference in what this revelation is saying is that, once we get it, we will impose truth upon our lives’ circumstances and we won’t give up. This is where the rubber hits the road. The Word of God has the power to alter any situation and/or circumstance. Truth has the power to get rid of lies, the same as light has the power to get rid of darkness and love has the power over hate. One true believer, a DOER, filled with God’s Spirit is a majority.

We’ve just got to believe in the power of God in us. Jesus said, “Whoever has my commandments and keeps (does) them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” He will manifest Himself to you and through you. The manifestation of Jesus happens through the miracles that we do for the unsaved that they may see the glory, “let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Mat 5:16).

Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep (do) My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (Jn 14:15-17)

But we must “do” what He says. We must use His Word. It is the only thing that works against the facts and the circumstances, against the doctor’s report and the bad news. The truth of God super-imposed upon the lies of the devil changes facts.

You just have to “not quit”. You never give up. You’ve got to believe (stand) that the Word is true and nothing else. In fact, everything else is false in comparison to His Word. You can apply this truth against any situation. You can tell the devil, “I don’t have time to get sick”, Jesus paid for my healing, plus I’m too busy healing others.

The promise of Abraham was “the Spirit of God dwelleth in you”. It’s the same Spirit that made it possible for Jesus to do miracles. It says “whatsoever” (no restriction) you shall ask “in My name”, you don’t ask God to do it, you’re the one who demands, it’s your commands, upon the circumstances that will alter them according to the will of the Father, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

You are who you are, because of Who He is in you. The new you is the One dwelling in you. Practicing the presence of God does not mean trying to conjure Him up. He’s always on location. He shows up when you show up.

We can’t just be busy with life, and forget that the Spirit of God is in us. Wherever we go, whatever we do, whatever we say, we represent the presence and the power of God. We don’t have to wait till God manifests Himself. He’s manifesting in us, through us. This is no joke. This is it. You are it. The sooner you see it, the more you will be it. Wear the T-shirt and “Just do it“ (Jn 13:16,17).
